Workshop: Making Soap

Description

This half-day workshop will teach you how to make cold-process soap with sodium hydroxide lye water and various oils.  Participants will make a 1 pound batch of castille soap that they can take home and use.

Participants will need to bring

• Eye protection
• Hand protection (nitrile, rubber, vinyl, or latex gloves)
• Apron

Ebenezer Homestead will provide

• Olive Oil
• Sodium Hydorxide
• Soap Molds
• Utensils
